Mammoet to Deliver Thai Breakbulk Projects

Heavy-lift firm Mammoet has signed two contracts with Samsung Engineering to provide breakbulk transport as part of two petrochemical projects in Map Ta Phut, Rayong Province, Thailand.

Work will involve delivery of  heavy and oversized columns from Map Ta Phut deep sea port to Hemaraj Industrial Estate for a propylene oxide project, and transport from the same site to Map Ta Phut Industrial Estate for a olefins reconfiguration project.

“The ORP project will deploy the Mammoet PTC35DS crane to lift heavy and oversized columns over a 7.5-meter pipe-rack … The PTC35DS crane can complete a solo lift with more than sufficient capacity at radius to navigate the pipe-rack crossing safely, while causing minimum disruption to ongoing site activities,” a Mammoet spokesperson explained.

Headquartered in Schiedam in the Netherlands, Mammoet provides a range of services from transportation and logistics planning to heavy lift and crane rental.
