Scotload Delivers CNOOC Monitoring Shackle

Cargo carrier Scotload has moved a 1,000-tonne monitoring shackle to China.

The shackle was delivered on behalf of China National Offshore Oil Corp. for use in raising and lowering the umbilical hose in a floating production, storage and offloading, or FPSO, vessel. IT was supplied via Chinese distributor Trusland Offshore Services.

“Trusland Offshore Services Ltd. and Scotload were able to supply an uncommon size of load shackle from stock, ensuring the customer received the shackle quickly which was vital for the success of their testing,” said Paul Yan, general manager at Trusland Offshore Services.

Based in Cowes in the UK, Scotload specializes in load measuring and monitoring solutions for the international lifting industry.
